Biography

Brothers of heart with Latin blood having braved the distances and History, destiny brings them together in the lands of south of France to tell their fortune. It is the story of wandering souls like there are so many among us, in each of us… A secret, a mystery questions us in an almost unknown language… Like an enigma to be solved… The dark night of the soul…

Luis&Rosa invite us to a moment of contemplation and communion around this existential and universal concern by following the thread of intimate, warm, nostalgic, itinerant and poetic Latin music.

It is by inexorably following her destiny that Rosa meets Luis. Thomas Huet, then drummer of the group Manosanta, meets the Franco-Colombian in Paris and tells him about the facts of this strange Argentinian guitarrero exiled in Avignon. Flash… Evidence… Deja-vu… Luis recognizes her and the group adopts her to go a long way together.

The southern sun awakens vivid memories. Rosa leaves the capital to be closer to her big brother and settles at the foot of the Cévennes. This is where their magical collaboration will operate and unearth from the depths of their being compositions woven with memories, hopes, lost and rediscovered illusions, forgotten loves, frantic quests, obsessive dreams,…

A new album with Latin and pop/rock sounds is about to see the light of day… It is simmering in the furnaces of the Da Town studio of Ulrich Edorh alias Yul in Marseille. Various artistic collaborations are woven to spread the wings of the sleeping dragon…

Rosa

Author, Composer and Performer, Rosa grew up in Paris rocked by Latin rhythms and the “magical realism” of her Colombian mother. Nourished on spicy salsa and languid boleros, all sprinkled with Madonna, rock and “telenovelas”, she will instinctively turn to theater and music, driven by the reminiscence of a rich inner life…

LUIS

Born in Buenos Aires, rocked by the tangos of a vinyl collector dad, Luis made his first steps on the guitar of an old uncle. His adolescence was spent in Buenos Aires, where he learned to love the South American popular repertoire and discovered the sound worlds of the late seventies in the midst of the military dictatorship: Brian Eno, Bowie, David Sylvian, Tom Waits, etc. He left Argentina for Europe, criss-crossing it in every nook and cranny, guitar in hand. He finally chooses France where he settles in the papal lands…
